Event Information
BreakPoint’19 is a CodeQuotient’s HackFest that provides platform for teams to create, share and collaborate on projects all in one place. Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh in collaboration with ACM Student Chapter and CodeQuotient is going to organize Two Days Challenge on 9th & 10th November 2019 for 30 continuous hours. This challenge offers prize money worth Rs. 15,000/- and/or on the spot Job Offer Letters with package of Rs. 7,00,000 p.a. and/or Internship with stipend amount of Rs. 15,000/- p.m.
Chitkara University is NAAC accredited government-recognized university and are member of esteemed Association of Indian Universities. The Campus is spread over approximately 17 acres and provides state-of-the-art facilities and ambience for a conducive learning environment. The campus is 32 kms from Chandigarh and approx. 8 kms from Kalka Railway Station. Chandigarh is conveniently linked to the rest of the country by air, road and rail network.
CodeQuotient helps you succeed in your programming career. We created a unique program for top talent from engineering colleges to become excellent software developers. CodeQuotient is looking to hire talented and motivated Software Engineers and Interns for their Chandigarh office.
Eligibility Criteria
• Year of Passing: 2018 – 2021
• Skills: Full Stack Development Using Any Technology
Award for Winners
• First Prize – Prize Money worth Rs. 10,000/- and/or Internship with stipend Rs. 15,000 per month and/or Job Placement Offer by Code Quotient with package at CTC Rs. 7,00,000/- per annum
• Second Prize – Prize Money worth Rs. 5,000/- and/or Internship with stipend Rs. 15,000 per month and/or Job Placement Offer by Code Quotient with package at CTC Rs. 7,00,000/- per annum
• Runner Ups - Internship with stipend Rs. 15,000 per month and/or Job Placement Offer by Code Quotient with package at CTC Rs. 7,00,000/- per annum
Challenge Format
• 30 Hours continuous overnight Project Development towards the fulfillment of required use cases.
• Candidates are free to use any technology stack.
Participation Fee
• The participation fee for BreakPoint’19 is Rs. 300/- which includes accommodation and meals for both days.

Guidelines
• BreakPoint’19 seeks participation from individuals of final or pre-final year in B.E. / B.Tech / BSc Engg / BCA / MCA or fresh graduates who have passed in the year 2018 and 2019.
• This is an individual challenge not a team challenge. So, participants need to register themselves individually.
• Each participant can pick one use case based on theme of your interest and use case of your choice. You can start working on a viable solution right away. We would appreciate the solution to be creative and based on original ideas. Please refrain from copying ideas from the internet or other forums.
• Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh shall provide seating arrangements, necessary electrical connections, stay arrangements at University Campus and meals on both the days. However, Code Quotient will have its mentors to guide the participants during the event.
• Each participant needs to carry her / his own laptops and requisite software / tools for the event. Participants are open to use any technology(ies) stack as per their own discretion.
• All solutions will be judged by a jury constituted of eminent industry leaders. The decision of the jury will be final.
The solution should address the problem statement and encompass the below key areas:
1. Context: Describe briefly the business objective of the solution.
2. Proposed Solution: Describe proposed solution along with technology to be used. Also describe what’s unique about your solution.
3. Technical Design: Explain the technical design / architecture of the solution.
4. Prototype: Working model of the solution which can be demonstrated to Jury panel.
5. Benefits: Please provide quantitative as well as qualitative benefits.
6. Assumptions: State the assumptions made.
7. Implementation of the solution.
Candidates are required to prepare a presentation of the above mentioned details based on the use case (shared after registration) opted for participation and email to manik.gupta@chitkarauniversity.edu.in by 5th November, 2019.

28th October, 2019 5th November, 2019 - Last date for sending Nominations
29th October, 2019 6th November, 2019 - Last date to share the use cases with the participants
4th November, 2019 7th November, 2019 – Last date of solution design submission by the participants
