Adventure Club Pune invites you to experience one of nature’s most magical phenomena – the Bhandardara Fireflies Trail & Camping. Set against the scenic backdrop of the Sahyadri ranges, this overnight getaway offers a rare opportunity to witness thousands of fireflies illuminating the forest just before the monsoon. The experience includes lakeside tent camping, a bonfire with music and dance, and a guided firefly night trail, making it the perfect escape for nature lovers, adventure seekers, photographers, and those looking to unwind in tranquility.
The trip includes tent accommodation with bedding, evening snacks, dinner, breakfast, and tea. Campers also get access to indoor and outdoor games such as table tennis, carrom, chess, archery, and a giant swing. A local expert guides the mesmerizing firefly trail, followed by a fun music and dance session. Basic first aid and an on-site Camp Manager are available, and transport from Pune or Kasara is included for those who opt for it.
The two-day itinerary begins with arrival and check-in at 3:00 PM, followed by tent allotment, evening snacks, and relaxation. After dinner around 9:30 PM, a guided trail leads into the forest to witness the enchanting glow of fireflies, accompanied by an informative session by a local expert. The next morning begins early with a serene sunrise view, followed by breakfast and checkout by 10:00 AM for self-drive participants. Group departures to Pune or Mumbai follow shortly after.
Pickup points from Pune include Novotel Hotel, Viman Nagar (9:00 AM), J.M. Corner, JM Road (9:30 AM), Bremen Chowk, Aundh (9:45 AM), and MSRTC Bus Stop, Nashik Phata (10:00 AM). Travelers joining from Kasara should arrive at the railway station by 1:00 PM.
Participants are required to carry valid ID, comfortable clothing, toiletries, a torch or headlamp, mosquito repellent, a power bank, and other personal essentials. Safety and environmental responsibility are paramount. Flashlights and loud noises are prohibited during the firefly trail, and music will be turned off by 10:00 PM. Littering, damaging camp property, and inappropriate behavior can lead to removal from the trip without refund.
Please note that firefly sightings are seasonal and depend on weather conditions, with May–June offering the best chances. Sightings are not guaranteed, and refunds will not be issued in case of non-sightings. For full details on cancellations and terms, refer to the official Terms and Conditions.
