AQUAMAN NATIONAL OPEN WATER SWIMMING COMPETITION, GOA

Get ready for Aquaman National Open Water Swimming Competition, coming to one of the World’s best open water swimming areas – Goa, on 22nd September 2019. A world-class sea swimming race in the most sought-after channels in India with 10 km, 5 km, and 2 km swim distances. In collaboration with National Institute of Water Sports (NIWS), Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India. Accredited by the Swimming Federation of India.

Date: 3rd November 2019 (Sunday)

Venue: NIWS, Caranzalem Beach, Panaji, Goa

Distances: 10 kms, 5 kms & 2 kms

(as per participant’s age on/before 31/08/2019)

Group 1 : Boys & Girls : 10-12 yrs : 2 kms

Group 2 : Boys & Girls : 10 - 12 yrs : 5 kms

Group 3 : Boys & Girls : 13 – 16 yrs : 5 kms

Group 4 : Men & Women : 17 - 25 yrs : 5 kms

Group 5 : Men & Women : 26 - 40 yrs : 5 kms

Group 6 : Men & Women : 40 yrs & above : 5 kms

Group 7 : Boys & Girls : 10 - 12 yrs : 10 kms

Group 8 : Boys & Girls : 13 – 16 yrs : 10 kms

Group 9 : Men & Women : 17 - 25 yrs : 10 kms

Group 10 : Men & Women: 26 - 40 yrs : 10 kms

Group 11 : Men & Women 40 yrs & above : 10 kms

Group 12 : Open non-competitive : 10 yrs & above : 2 kms

Aquaman 10 kms, 5 kms and 2 kms are electronically timed races.

CUT OFF TIMINGS FOR RACE –

AQUAMAN 10 – 4 HOURS 30 MINUTES (4.5 HRS)

AQUAMAN 5.0 - 2 HOURS 30 MINUTES (2.5 HRS)

AQUAMAN 2.0 - 1 HOUR 15 MINUTES (75 MINUTES)

Participants finishing the course LATER than the Cut Off Timings will be declared as DNF – Did Not Finish, and will not receive Timing certificates.

Adequate water points at the venue. Feeding stations along the course for the 10 kms race. Post swim refreshments for all the swimmers.

1. Trophies to the Winners from each Group (Male & Female), excluding from Group 12.

2. Special Aquaman trophies to the overall fastest swimmers in 10 km, 5 km, and 2 km swims (Male & Female), excluding from Group 12.

3. Merit Certificates to first 3 swimmers (Male & Female) from each group, excluding Group 12.

4. Awesome Aquaman Finisher Medals to ALL finishers.

5. E-certificates for all swimmers who complete their swims within the cut off times.

1. The event details and the terms & conditions for Aquaman National Open Water Swimming Competition, Goa 2019 are listed in Rules and Entry Form (including the Medical & Indemnity sections), available on our website www.aquamansport.com. You are responsible for reading the details and description regarding the event and any other information that may be sent by the Event Organizer and agree that you clearly understand what ability is required and what is entailed in participating in the event

2. Any requests for change of category/withdrawal/refunds will NOT be entertained.

3. Age cut-off is as per age on or before 31st August 2019.

4. After booking the slot and payment of Registration Fees, participants must fill out the ENTRY FORM and email the scanned copies of the following documents to aquamansportindia@gmail.com :

a) Entry Form (to be printed out from www.aquamansport.com). The entry form includes the Medical Certificate and Indemnity.

b) Clear scanned copy of Photo ID with Proof of Age.

c) Scanned copy of previous Sea Swim Certificate / Letter from the Coach as per the Eligibility Criteria.

5. Minors – All participants below the age of 18 years will be required to get all forms signed by Parent/Guardian and on Race Day MUST be accompanied by said Parent/Guardian.

6. The Event Organisers reserve the right to cancel your participation in the event if any information provided by you is found to be inaccurate in any way.

7. Group 12 is a special category for first-time sea swimmers of ages 10 and above, who would like to swim the distance of 2 km. Participants of this group will be eligible for certificates and finisher medals ONLY.

8. A Confirmation email will be sent to participants once the Entry form and documents are received and verified.
