Calling all open water swimmers!

Get ready for Aquaman 5.0 and Aquaman 2.0, the Open Water Swimming Competition coming to Mumbai’s best swimming route – the Sunk Rock to Gateway of India, on 24th March 2019. A world class 5 km and 2 km sea swimming race in one of the most sought-after channels in India. Accredited by the Swimming Federation of India.

SWIM CATEGORIES

Group 1 : Boys & Girls : 10-12 yrs: 2 kms

Group 2: Group 3 : Boys & Girls : 13-16 yrs: 5 kms
Group 3 : Men & Women : 17-25 yrs : 5 kms
Group 4 : Men & Women : 26-40 yrs : 5 kms
Group 5 : Men & Women : Above 41 yrs : 5 kms

Group 6 : Boys & Girls/Men & Women : 10 yrs and above  : 2 kms non-competitive

Aquaman 5.0 and Aquaman 2.0 are electronically timed races.

CUT OFF TIMINGS FOR RACE -

AQUAMAN 5.0  - 2 HOURS 30 MINUTES (2.5 HRS)

AQUAMAN 2.0  - 1 HOUR 15 MINUTES (75 MINUTES)

Participants finishing the course LATER than the Cut Off Timings will be declared as DNF – Did Not Finsh, and will not receive timing certificates.

HYDRATION & REFRESHMENTS

Adequate water points & feeding stations at the venue. Post swim refreshments for all the swimmers.

AWARDS & TROPHIES

1. Trophies for the Winner & Runners up from all Groups, excluding Group 6.
2. Special Aquaman 5.0 & Aquaman 2.0 trophies and Cash Prizes for the overall fastest swimmer in 5 kms and 2 kms swims, excluding Group 6.
3. Merit Certificates to first 10 swimmers from each group, excluding Group 6.
4. Awesome Aquaman Finisher Medals to ALL finishers.
5. E-certificates for ALL swimmers who complete their swims within the cut off times.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Please go through all the event details and conditions listed in the Rules, Entry Form, Medical Certificate and Indemnity on our website www.aquamansportindia.com CAREFULLY before registering.
2. Any requests for change of category/withdrawal/refunds will NOT be entertained.
3. Age cut-off is as per age on 31st December 2018.
4. Reporting & Kit collection : 7 AM onwards on 24th March. Details will be emailed to all participants. All participants are mandatorily required to come personally for Reporting & Kit Collection and submit all required documents, to be downloaded from the Aquaman website, including:

1. Entry Form.
2. Medical Certificate.
3. Indemnity.
4. Copy of Photo ID with Proof of Age.
5. Copy of Sea Swim Certificate as per Eligibility Criteria (Letter certifying Endurance levels by Coach/Instructor in case of first time sea swimmers.

5. Minors – All participants below the age of 18 years will be required to get all forms signed by Parent/Guardian and MUST be accompanied by said Parent/Guardian.

Group 6 is a special nn-competitive category for swimmers of all ages above 10 years who would like to swim the distance of 2 kms. We welcome pool swimmers to join this category, provided they have requisite endurance levels of swimming Non-stop 2 kms and 1 hour in the pool Participants of this group will be eligible for certificates and finisher medals ONLY.
