Objective:
This topic is an introduction to Workplace Design, a specialized field of Interior Design. The workplace where people meet and work together every day becomes a community and workplace design aims to cater to their spatial needs. In the technology era where human connections are as important as virtual ones, workplace design and strategy are an insight to build a happy, healthy, and productive environment. Right from understanding the need of this specialized field, how is it different from other interior designs and what are the common aspects between them, to some examples to understand the gamut of work, this talk will give an insight to all.
Bio about the organiser:
Nivedita Meher is an Architect and has done her post graduation in Urban Design. But her fascination for interior space design and special interest for workspace design and planning made her dive into the field of workplace design 7 years ago.
With a human-centric approach towards planning and understanding the needs of workplaces, she worked with many reputed design firms and has completed over 1.6 million square feet of projects.
She is currently working as Senior Designer in Adrianse, a Global Workplace Design company, and leads the design for their Hyderabad Studio. She in the past has worked with Space Matrix, another design firm with global footprints. She has handled some of the important projects like Tech Mahindra, Astra Zeneca, ServiceNow, Eastman Chemicals, and many other Tech companies. As a Senior Designer, she works on workplace strategy, concept planning, design development, material and furniture selection and overviewing the design during execution.
