Bring a Text of your choice and get Ready for some Story-telling.
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." --Maya Angelou.
Gurleen Arora (she/her) is a Genderqueer thespian, artist, writer & designer from Bombay and Dharamshala (HP) who has helped manage a local Theatre community (d.r.i.f.t) in the mountains of Dharamshala for over 5 years. She has always been drawn to literature and story-telling and has performed in plays like "The Vagina Monologues" and has curated reading sessions on queer literature.
About the workshop:
Bring any text of your choice (written by you or someone else) and learn to weave it into a story and then perform with a group of other artists. Gurleen will take you through some fun theatre exercises, teach certain performance techniques, get a chai break, whilst also learning to take and share space with a group of folks from totally different backgrounds.
NOTE: If everyone consents, these performances will be showcased for the Queer Art Exchange Concert of the Digital Desi Pride.
