Celebrating all empowered women... No matter where you are in life, inspire and empower the women around you. Success is never reached alone and definitely sweeter when shared. GEMS Singapore presents to you E!MPOWERED WOW 10km NITE RUN, the first night run for 2022! Run with a buddy or a group of 5 to share the victory.

REQUIREMENT

10km

Participants are to complete the race at the designated route within the event date and time. Route will be notified nearer to the date.

Participants are required to present the completed route on any running app to collect your entitlements.

For SAFETY reasons and in celebration of International Women's Day in March, all participants are encouraged to wear a Pink Tee during the race.

Please note the following:

• There is NO BAG DEPOSIT counter
• What to wear? We encourage you to wear a Pink Tee for the race. 
• Hydrate well and have sufficient rest before the run.
• Follow all medical instructions given to you by your doctor/medical personnel. 
• Do not indulge in strenuous activities 1 day before the race.
• Have a good meal and bring along energy gels/bars if needed.
• Ensure you eat well during the week.
• There will not be any water points along the way. Washroom & public water cooler is available at Passion Wave @ Marina Bay
• Please bring sufficient water to sustain yourself throughout the run.
• You may only remove your mask when you start running.
• Please adhere to all prevailing COVID-19 regulations throughout the event.
• Please run with a buddy and look out for one another.
• Please be wary of other park users especially bicycles and PMDs.
• In the event of inclement weather (Heavy rain with low visibility and/or Lightning), please seek shelter at the pavilions or nearby blocks. You may pause your running app and resume once the weather clears

More than 25,000 women from low-income families in Singapore are struggling to find and sustain a living. Daughters Of Tomorrow aims to support these women towards gainful employment and a better future. $1 from every ticket purchased will be donated to DOT.

About DOT

Registered as a charity under the Charities Act of Singapore, Daughters Of Tomorrow complements and supports existing training and workforce-related agencies by connecting volunteers and community resources to enable each woman on an individual level. By deep-diving into the practical day-to-day constraints of these women, we offer hand-holding and individual coaching to help each woman reach regular and sustained employment.

Our beneficiaries are women aged 20 to 60 from low-income families (surviving on $200 to $500 per capita per month) mostly living in government-subsidized rental flats, and facing multiple stressors in their families. Since our incorporation in August 2014, we have impacted more than 800 women through our skills-training, job-bridging, and support programmes. Through sustained employment, women in our employment bridging program regain confidence in themselves and gain a social support network that helps them through their difficult times.
