Event Information

Topic:

Data science, we are now into the era of insights and prescriptive analytics - part reporting, part analytics, part machine learning, part visualization. In a nutshell, this is what “Data Science” is all about. Want to learn more about the exciting world of Data Science?

Intended Audience:

New college graduates, Data Science newbies, Aspiring Data Science enthusiasts

Brief:

Data here, data there, data everywhere. The world is awash in COVID data, from ICMR in India to Johns Hopkins in the U.S., to the National Health Service database in the U.K, and at even many more aggregation sites like kaggle.com.

Health experts are analyzing this data for basic statistics (the kind you see being reported on the news channels), but beyond that, they are looking for patterns and inferences that can be made by connecting the dots. And, all this is then beautifully visualized on many many visual dashboards that you may have been exposed to. Business executives are no different - they want to look at, say sales data from the last quarter or year prior to the project and predict future sales, spot specific items to sell, decide on where to make investments, etc.

Plain old reporting is so yesterday - we are now into the era of insights and prescriptive analytics - part reporting, part analytics, part machine learning, part visualization. In a nutshell, this is what “Data Science” is all about. Want to learn more about the exciting world of Data Science?
