1947 - Walk, Run, Cycle, Swim – a 30-day event culminating on 15th Aug 2026, as we celebrate our 79th Independence Day! An event that you will finish with freedom and flexibility. If there is only one condition you need to meet then it is, that you have to finish your chosen distance on 15th Aug. The 30 days window is from 17th July to 15th Aug.

1947- Walk / Run / Cycle: Rules & Guidelines

# Age eligibility and other important points for each distance category are mentioned at the bottom of respective event description.

# Duration of the Challenge- July 17 to Aug 15, 2021 (30 days)

# The event starts from 17th July and your activity data will be considered from 17th July.

# The day you complete distance of your chosen category, the event is over for you. However, we suggest you should take due care of your health. Rest & recovery are the important aspect of it.

# Consult your physician before registering if you are not a regular walker, cyclist or runner.

# You can participate in only 1 event category.

# Each day starts at 12:00am and finishes at 11:59pm

Duathlon (Run-194.7Km/Cycle-194.7km) [18yrs & above] - Rs 1500/-

Refund Policy- This being a virtual event, once registered, there will be no refunds


Leader board & Results-

# Completion certificate will be available online after 16th Aug.

# Ranking at the leader board will be available from 18th July.

# The race kit & medal will be couriered at your address.

How to log your daily activity:

- Once you sign up, you activities will be automatically imported and you don’t have log daily

- Your latest activity will appear in the leader board within one hour

- Leader board is dynamically managed and ranking keep changing as & when participants’ activities are added

- First time user Signup on

- After sign up, an account confirmation link is sent to your email, once you click on that link you will be able to Log in.

- Click on Dashboard and Go to Application and connect to Strava/Garmin. Please connect to these app, don’t login using Facebook and Google IDs, instead use your email and password to authorize. (please don’t untick any box while authorising access)

- One Account can be linked to one profile. If you have registered for others, please make separate accounts for each participant by following the above steps.

30 Days Activity Details:

1. Duathlon

(Run-194.7Km/Cycle-194.7km)

- Min entry age is 18 years

- Complete this distance in 30 days of mentioned duration (17th July to 15th Aug).

- It’s not mandatory to do both activities back-to-back. It’s up to you to do these activities with some gap, say one in morning and other in evening or night.

- One day one activity. Means per day you can only run once and cycle once.

- The total distance should not be more than 389.4Km (194.7Km cycling+ 194.7 Running). An additional distance margin of up to +1000m in total is allowed.

- You have freedom to decide the rest days or no rest days

- You can not run more than 10Km and less than 2Km in a day. It means one day running limit for you is between 2Km-10Km

- You can not cycle more than 20Km and less than 5Km in a day. It means one day cycling limit for you is between 5Km-20Km

- You should be in action on any 25 days out of allotted 30 days. It means you will calculate and plan your daily distance accordingly.

- You can track your data and result on the event dashboard

- We are not celebrating the fastest finisher but the most accurate finisher, so avoid getting into the rat-race

- You will be under surveillance, so avoid cheating or doing something unethical.

2. Cycle 1000Km

- Min entry age is 18 years

- Complete this distance in 30 days of mentioned duration (17th July to 15th Aug).

- One day one activity. Means per day you can ride once.

- The total distance should not be more than 1000Km. An additional distance of up to +2000m in total is allowed.

- You have freedom to decide the rest days or no rest days

- You can not cycle more than 100Km and less than 20Km in a day. It means one day cycling limit for you is between 20Km-100Km

- You should be in action on any 25 days out of allotted 30 days. It means you will calculate and plan your daily distance accordingly.

- You can track your data and result at on the event website

- We are not celebrating the fastest finisher but the most accurate finisher, so avoid getting into the rat-race

- You will be under surveillance, so avoid cheating or doing something unethical

3. 194.7Km Cycling

- Min entry age is 14 years

- Complete this distance in 30 days of mentioned duration (17th July to 15th Aug).

- One day one activity. Means per day you can ride once.

- The total distance should not be more than 194.7Km. An additional distance of up to +500m in total is allowed.

- You have freedom to decide the rest days or no rest days

- You can not cycle more than 20Km and less than 5Km in a day. It means one day cycling limit for you is between 5Km-20Km

- You should be in action on any 25 days out of allotted 30 days. It means you will calculate and plan your daily distance accordingly.

- You can track your data and result at on the event website

4. 194.7Km Run/ Walk

- Min entry age is 14 years

- You can not run/walk more than 10Km and less than 2Km in a day. It means one day running/walking limit for you is between 2Km-10Km

- You should be in action on any 25 days out of allotted 30 days. It means you will calculate and plan your daily distance accordingly.

5. 250Km Run/ Walk

- Min entry age is 14 years

- Complete this distance in 30 days of mentioned duration (17th July to 15th Aug).

- One day one activity. Means per day you can run once.

- You have freedom to decide the rest days or no rest days

- You can not run/walk more than 21.1Km and less than 5Km in a day. It means one day running/walking limit for you is between 5Km-21.1Km

- You should be in action on any 25 days out of allotted 30 days. It means you will calculate and plan your daily distance accordingly.

- You can track your data and result at on the event website

- We are not celebrating the fastest finisher but the most accurate finisher, so avoid getting into the rat-race

- You will be under surveillance, so avoid cheating or doing something unethical


Safety precautions for Cycling

- Always wear a helmet while riding a bicycle

- Obey traffic rules at all times

- Wear a reflective jacket/vest if you are riding in low light areas, especially during night time

- Blinking tail lights are very helpful during night rides

- Keep optimum tyre pressure in both the tyres as per the prescribed PSI for your cycle

- Check your brakes and tyre pressure before every ride

- Always carry some cash for emergency

- Fix water bottles cages and carry a bottle of water at all times

- Carry some snacks/fruits if you are riding longer distances

- Keep emergency contacts handy at all times

- Preferably choose well-lit roads with less traffic

- Keep at least two bikes length at the back and one bike length in the sides if you are riding as a group

- Ride as a single queue in narrow lanes

- Learn to fix punctures and carry a puncture kit
