Focus of the Conference
10th World Cancer Congress – 2027 | Mumbai, India
The 10th World Cancer Congress (WCC) – 2027 is dedicated to advancing global scientific, clinical, and public health efforts in early cancer detection, population-based screening, and cancer prevention strategies. The congress serves as an international platform to accelerate collaboration among researchers, clinicians, diagnostic experts, public health professionals, and industry leaders working toward reducing cancer incidence, mortality, and late-stage diagnosis.
Cancer remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with millions of new cases diagnosed annually. Scientific evidence shows that early-stage detection can improve survival rates by up to 70–90% for several major cancers such as breast, cervical, colorectal, oral, and lung cancers. However, delayed diagnosis and limited access to screening continue to pose significant challenges, particularly in low- and middle-income regions.
WCC-2027 emphasizes a paradigm shift from treatment-centered oncology to prevention-focused, risk-based, and precision early detection approaches supported by scientific evidence and technological innovation.
The congress will focus on advances in screening and diagnostic technologies, including molecular diagnostics, liquid biopsy, genomic and epigenomic biomarkers, next-generation sequencing, AI-assisted imaging, digital pathology, and point-of-care diagnostic tools. Sessions will also explore cancer epidemiology, genetic susceptibility, hereditary cancer syndromes, and real-world implementation of national and regional screening programs.
WCC-2027 will further address primary and secondary cancer prevention by examining modifiable risk factors such as tobacco use, infections, environmental exposure, obesity, physical inactivity, and dietary patterns. Key scientific discussions will include HPV and HBV vaccination, chemoprevention, lifestyle and nutritional interventions, and integrative approaches incorporating Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy.
The congress welcomes oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, molecular diagnosticians, geneticists, epidemiologists, public health experts, AYUSH practitioners, academicians, biomedical scientists, industry professionals, policymakers, trainees, and students to participate in high-impact scientific exchange and collaborative learning.
By fostering partnerships between research institutions, healthcare systems, diagnostic innovators, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, the 10th World Cancer Congress – 2027 aims to translate scientific discoveries into scalable screening models and preventive strategies, shaping the future of early detection and cancer prevention worldwide.
