The art of fashion draping refers to the process of manipulating fabric directly on a dress form or mannequin to create three-dimensional designs and shapes for garments, involving using fabric, pins, and a dress form to sculpt and shape the fabric into various silhouettes and styles
The process of draping allows the designer to experiment with different design elements and provides a hands-on approach to designing allowing spontaneity and creativity during the design process
Draping is commonly used in high-end fashion and couture design, where the emphasis is on creating unique and artistic garments. It allows designers to experiment and push the boundaries of traditional pattern-making techniques, resulting in innovative and visually stunning designs
