How to Update Google Password

There are two positions you can change or update your Gmail account password: in Outlook and with your email provider (for pattern, Office 365, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, or Xfinity). You may require to update your password to one or both areas. 

When should I update my password with my email provider?

View the following parts for directions on changing your email account password for some major email providers. If your email account provider isn't posted, contact your admin or the email provider's help desk.

Note: Outlook can't change or update the password with your email provider. In other words, if you forget your Outlook.com password, you'll first have to understand the section Improve your Outlook.com password to change the password Outlook.com has for your account, then update the password in Outlook for Windows.

There are two goods ways to update your password in Gmail. The specific steps you require to take depend on your account of Gmail and whether you're an Office 365 subscriber or purchased Gmail as a standalone application.

If you're an Office 365 subscriber with semi-annual updates or you have Outlook 2019, 2016, 2013, or 2010, or purchased Outlook as a standalone administration, use the next steps:

NOTE: POP and IMAP accounts will not implement this benefit if your entry point is File > Account Settings > Account Settings. If that is the problem go to File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles, Select Emails Accounts, then choose the email account you want to change, and then take Change. In the Change Account window, update your password.

If you use Outlook to send and receive email from your Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, Apple, Outlook.com, or @me.com accounts, you may not use your regular email account password to set up these accounts. These email providers may require you to use two-factor authentication and an app password. This is a one-time password that you enter in place of your regular account password when setting up your account for the first time.
