Yaad Na Jaaye - Rafi Saab

Even after 39 years of the demise of playback singer, Mohammed Rafi Saab, his songs are still as alive as they were during the time it was released. Mohammed Rafi was well-known for his versatility as he gave his voice to songs ranging from classical numbers to patriotic ones, sad songs to romantic numbers, qawwalis to ghazals and bhajans and many more. This great singer had mastered the art of emotions, soulfulness, laughter and grief, romance and anger, which gave us a wealth of gems to listen and relate to. Perhaps, one is yet to find a situation for which Rafi Saab has not sung a song. The hundreds and thousands of songs which are played and sung today, at various occasions, stands testimony to the fact that Rafi Saab was probably the only playback singer who had all the qualities of a heavenly avatar of the singing gods. His pitch perfect renditions with a variety of ranges, depth and feel made Rafi Saab the most suited singer for any actor on screen, since he could adapt to anyone’s style.
We at SwarSaRGAM events are attempting to present to all Rafi Saab fans, several different genres and styles of Rafi Saab by a bouquet of 39 unforgettable songs through 4 hours of engrossing music and singing.  The concert aims to present selected picks not so commonly heard but yet which are classics rendered by the Divine singer. The concert is Titled – ‘YAAD NA JAAYE – RAFI Saab! After 39 years’ on SATURDAY 17TH AUGUST 2019, 4.00 PM onwards at ADA RANGAMANDIRA, J.C. ROAD, BANGALORE, ably supported by the popular Rafi Fan Club in Bangalore, ‘Baar Baar Rafi’ Fan Club.

Part of the earnings through the show would also be donated to SREE Old Age Home, Mahalakshmipuram. This initiative is also supported by the ‘WORLD OF MOHAMMED RAFI WELFARE FOUNDATION’ founded by Shri. Venkatachalam Venkat, in which Rafi Saabs daughters are also Directors along with playback singer Shri. SP Balasubhramanyam.
Mrs. Nasreen Ahmed (Daughter of Rafi Saab) and Mr. Meraj Ahmed (Son-in-law of Rafi Saab) along with Shri. Venkat, would be the Guests of Honor for the concert.
