What is the MTP Kit, and how does it work?

The MTP Kit is a combination of two medications, Mifepristone and Misoprostol, used for medical abortion (termination of pregnancy). Mifepristone blocks the action of the hormone progesterone, leading to the detachment of the embryo from the uterine wall. Misoprostol causes uterine contractions, expelling the contents of the uterus, including the detached embryo.
