Jazz & Pop

A collective featuring some fine young voices from the independent music and jazz scene in Delhi, the trio offers a unique take on contemporary jazz playing a repertoire of standards and popular tunes with arrangements inspired by modern jazz artists the likes of Aaron Goldberg, Aaron Parks, Bill Frisell, and Gilad Hekselman, among many others. 

With respect to contemporary jazz, and in the tradition of playing improvised music, the trio incorporates sounds from Latin music, rock, and even folk and world music. Despite their varied influences, the deliverance of a narrative through sound still remains to be the primary objective of the group.

Aditya Dutta - Drums & Percussion

Aditya Dutta is a drum and cymbals player based in Delhi. In a performing career spanning over 8 years, he has collaborated with artists from around the globe playing at premier Indian venues and festivals.

With an individuality rooted in the folk culture of India, his diverse musical experiences have shaped his voice on the Drumset. Passionate for the spirit of improvisation, his journey as an artist has been that of collective growth and explorations both on and off the bandstand.

Besides being one of the first call session artists in the city, he is working on his own projects with CAPITAL THREE (Piano trio with Rythem Bansal and Sonic Shori), SAS (Jazz Guitar trio with Siddharth Gautam & Sonic Shori), SOLILOQUY (Piano trio with Vatsal Bakhda & Sonic Shori) and PARVATI LA CANTANTE.

Noushad Ashraf - Keys and Piano 

Noushad Ashraf is a Delhi based musician from Kerala known for his versatility and strong improvisational approach. Deeply rooted in his cultural background, his music weaves elements of fusion, jazz, and contemporary styles to create a distinct and expressive sound. 

Over the years, he has collaborated with a wide range of artists across genres and contributed to projects as an arranger, producer, and live performer. Passionate about collaboration and musical diversity, Noushad continues to explore new ideas through performance, recording, and teaching, bringing authenticity and depth to every project he takes on.

Rooted in the devotional spirit of Hindustani classical music, shaped by a deep engagement with the traditions of jazz, and vitalised with the profound expressive power of blues and rock, Vikramaditya Negi’s artistic journey is defined by a thoughtful fusion of diverse musical worlds.

A composer, producer, guitar player, and singer-songwriter, he’s spent years moving through live performance, collaboration, and independent creation, with creative pursuits leading him to contribute to a wide range of artistic projects, many of which emerge as distinctive amalgamations drawn from an expansive palette of influences.
