Hutridurga, also known as Uttari Betta is a fortified hill in the south-east of Bangalore, situated around 90 kilometers away. The place is ideal for one day trek. The 5 km trek takes you through a lush green landscape. The trail passes through a small village, entering the fort wall and passes through seven doors of stone to reach the halfway point of the hike which has a temple of Shankareswar, built by Kempe Gowda at the top. There a several small rainwater tanks alongside the temple. The trail is mostly rugged where one must go over boulders and steps carved into huge rocks. The view from the temple top is beautiful enough to captivate oneself. After spending some time together making memories, we begin to descend back towards the base point of the trek.
