Date : 11th September (leaving on Saturday).

Type : Valley/Dense JungleTrek.

Range : Mulshi, Pune.

Base Village : Pimpri (Tamhini Ghat).

Grade : Medium.

Height : 2,100 feet Approx (Start point)

About the Trek::

“Andharban”, the word itself means dense dark forest. Andharban is one of the most beautiful trek in Sahyadris. The best time to visit this place is during monsoon or post monsoon. In this trek, you descend for almost 4 hours and you are covered with dense forest and shade. En-route enjoy the waterfalls and awesome view of Kundalika valley. Here, we will be descending from Pune (Ghatmatha) to Konkan. This trek is also famous among nature lovers, shutterbugs for various species of Butterfly and flowers are there.

Tentative Trek Plan:

Assembly: At Khopoli Railway Station @ 12:30 AM sharp on 10th July 2016.

We'd be boarding the below train on Saturday night. You may get in at your respective stations. Please take return tickets on your own.

CST-Khopoli Fast (showing select stations):

Mumbai CST 10:04 pm.

Dadar 10:18 pm.

Ghatkopar 10:30 pm.

Thane 10:46 pm.

Kalyan 11:05 pm.

Karjat 11:56 pm.

KHOPOLI 12:21 AM.

After meeting at Khopoli Station, we shall start the journey (3hrs) for the base village.

Rest in the base village till dawn. Have breakfast and start the trek (6-8hrs).

(Lunch on the way)

4-5pm: Reach Base and start return journey to Khopoli.

Take the next local train from Khopoli to Mumbai.
