About the workshop
Charles Dickens's second novel, ‘Oliver Twist’, looks at some of the social aspects of children in 18th century England. Have you wondered how a character like ‘Oliver Twist’ survived his childhood? What were his fears and emotional challenges and how did he overcome them? What can children learn about a book like ‘Oliver Twist’? We are excited to find this out through a 90-minute long workshop. Join us on 24th February to gain different perspectives, get into the shoes of the characters, time travel, make different things, ask questions, and discover the answers in collaboration with a community of book lovers. This 90-minutes workshop will be of 1.5 hours with immersive, and fun home-based activities for your children to thoroughly live through the book.
We encourage participants to read the book before the workshop to gain the most out of the experience.
Description of the Organisation
Joy of Anubhava transforms books into meaningful experiences using different art forms such as drawing, photos, music, theatre, storytelling, and writing. These workshops are designed for participants to gain 21st Century and Social & Emotional Learning skills.

- A minimum of 3 participants is required for Joy of Anubhava to proceed with the workshop. Joy of Anubhava will communicate regarding workshop cancellation, if necessary, at least 4 hours prior to the start of the workshop. If the event is cancelled by Joy of Anubhava, a full refund will be provided.
- Individual refund will be considered on a case-by-case according to the discretion of Joy of Anubhava.
- Individual refund will not be provided if the participant does not show up for the session or after the start of the event without any prior communication.
