Session #1: Explore with Precision: Heuristics and Checklists for Exploratory Testing
In our careers as QA's, we learn key techniques to perform our role effectively. Exploratory testing is a very useful tool when we want to detect weaknesses in our software. They allow us to detect vulnerabilities beyond pre-defined requirements or when these do not exist. Through the implementation of heuristics and checklists, we can outline our strategy and explore our software in a precise and organized manner.

About Speaker:
Zélia Silva, Software Tester at Cleva Inetum
Zélia Silva has been working as a Software Tester at Cleva Inetum since September 2022, a leading company in the commercialization of insurance software. She began her professional journey as a Social Worker, where she had her first contact with the implementation of a quality management system oriented towards social services. Years later (2021), she decided to switch from social work to venture into the world of software testing. Professional training played a crucial role in this change, and in 2022 she started her first experience as a Tester at Parfois, a renowned brand in the fashion and accessories sector, where she conducted functional tests on the various business layers. In September 2022, she started her current role in the certification team, where she has been on a learning journey and consolidating knowledge through integration, end-to-end, and API layer testing.

Allan Ferreira, Quality Assurance Engineer at Mindera
Allan Ferreira works as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Mindera and has been in the Quality field since 2015, focusing on front-end and e-commerces related to fashion, wine subscriptions, and beer. Although his main knowledge is in frontend, he also had the opportunity to work with API and Mobile testing, which helped to consolidate his foundations. Currently, he works for a customer in the fashion sector, where he can delve deeper into the use of mocks and their benefits.
