Session 1 : Spock Test Framework by Harikishore Tadigotla

Abstract:  

This talk introduces Spock as a Test Framework for testing Java applications. Spock needs a little knowledge of Groovy and embraces BDD in true spirit. We shall take a look at how Spock Framework can make Test Cases easy to develop, read and maintain. Groovy is a JVM based language and Spock leverages Groovy features and makes its test cases very expressive.

About Harikishore Tadigotla 

Harikishore Tadigotla is the founding director of Vivasa, a technology firm based out of Bangalore that provides software services and technology mentoring. Harikishore is passionate about mentoring engineers and is building a platform that imparts programming skills. He brings two decades of industry experience building enterprise applications in IB (Investment Banking), CRM and mobile VAS space. He earlier worked for Selectica, HSBC, JP Morgan Chase, and Nokia.

About Sharath Kashyap

Sharath Kashyap is an experienced Lead Quality Assurance Engineer with 7+ years experience in the entertainment and Aerospace industry. He is currently working as a QA lead in Asteria aerospace 

Skilled in Agile Testing, Selenium WebDriver, Protractor , Appium , Mocha JS , REST Assured, he is a strong quality assurance professional with a Master's degree focused in Telecommunications Engineering from Middlesex University, UK. 

Outside work he can be found in offbeat places with a camera in one hand and mobile switched off, an avid nature lover specializing in butterfly and bird photography.
