It's The International Dance Day on 29th April. This day is celebrated every year all over the world in the memory of Jean-Georges Noverre who is the creator of Modern Ballet and whose birthday is also on 29th April. 'The Elemental Solo' celebrating International Dance Day is a humble attempt to encourage the Solo in all its glory and splendour which has always been the true element of Indian Classical Dance since ages. This years edition will feature two professional artistes and two upcoming young talent. Smt Seema Krishnan will present Kathak Smt. Swapna Rajendrakumar will perform Mohiniattam and young dancers Kum Sairaksha Sriram will present Bharatanatyam and Kalamandalam Arun S. Kumar will perform Kuchipudi. This is a great opportunity for connoisseurs of north Bangalore to witness 4 dance styles on one platform in their neighbourhood. This will be one of a kind chamber concert where the audience can have a dialogue with the artistes. The event is ticketed being a chamber concert (Baithak) the seating is on the floor and there is an arrangement of 20 chairs for senior citizens. This event is not meant for children under five years of age.
