A one-day crash/refresher course to learn all things practical for beginning natural dyeing in your home or studio.

In this specially structured session, you will learn:

1. How to prepare your fabric for natural dyeing -
- Scouring
- Degumming

2. Mordanting for maximum dye-coverage

3. Mordanting to modify colours

4. Finding, making and using natural dyes -
- Sappan
- Catechu
- Henna
- Marigold / Palash Flowers
- Onion peels / Pomegranata peels

5. Fixing dyes to cloth for light- and wash-fastness

6. Washing and After-Dye Care

Each participant will take home their own shade card with 16 or more shades. All in-class materials and lunch will be provided!
