Tata Steel Sport Climbing Championship

Vision

To make it a flagship annual climbing event in the country attracting international climbers.

Format 

• Combined event - Lead climbing, Speed climbing and Bouldering in 2020 Tokyo Olympics format

• Speed Relay – First speed relay event of the country - Team of 3 participants (2 boys + 1 girl) - Open Entry 

Age Categories

Combined

6 – 9 years (Born between 1st Jan' 2010 - 31st Dec' 2013) – Boys and Girls – Combined (Top Rope and Bouldering)

10 – 13 years (Born between 1st Jan' 2006 - 31st Dec' 2009) – Boys and Girls – Combined (Lead, Speed and Bouldering)

14 – 16 years (Born between 1st Jan' 2003 - 31st Dec' 2005) – Boys and Girls – Combined (Lead, Speed, Bouldering)

Speed Relay 

12 - 30 years (Born between 1st Jan' 1989 - 31st Dec' 2007) - 2 Boys and 1 Girl - Speed Relay  

*Age-proof to be attached while registration and participants have to bring original document during competition. 

Cash Prizes

Top 3 position holders will be provided free entry to the competition to be held next year.  

Reporting - 4 pm, 20th Dec' 19

Dispersal - 9 pm, 23rd Dec' 19

Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided by TSAF in Jamshedpur

Check-in - 4pm, 20th Dec' 19

Check - Out - 9pm, 23rd Dec' 19

Meals

A vegetarian meal will be provided as per the following schedule

Combined Event - 1000/- per entry

Speed Relay - 1500/- per team

How to reach Jamshedpur

• By Train - Tatanagar (Tata) Railway Station

• By Air

Ranchi Airport is the nearest. From Ranchi airport to TSAF is 3 hours by cab and 4 hours by Bus

Kolkata Airport - Daily trains are available from Kolkata to Tatanagar railway station 

Climate

Carry warm clothes as the temperature in the night can go up to 5 degrees C

Equipment

Athletes must bring their own Harness, Climbing Shoes, Chalk Bag, Chalk Powder and all necessary Gears.
