Tadiandamol Trek with Off The Radar

Tadiandamol is located in the Western Ghats and is the fourth highest peak in Karnataka with an elevation of 1748 mts. This peak is a paradise for trekkers as the trail is challenging but once on top, you will be overwhelmed with the calmness of your surroundings. 

The trail that we plan to take is from Honey Valley Homestay, which is where we will be staying. Sometimes due to unforeseen situations we will have to take alternate route. In such cases, we will start our trek from a point near the Palace. The trail up the peak gives you excellent view of the valley and leads you through the shola vegetation.

DAY 1: Reach homestay & relax- 270 kms - 6 hours

• Leave Bangalore at 6:30 am by Tempo Traveler to reach the home stay by lunch time.
• Post lunch, relax at the homestay
• We can take a stroll in the evening inside the estate around the accommodation or walk down till the Chingara waterfall located close to the property.
• After tea, we assemble for a session introducing you to the trail, brief interactive session on nature and conservation by the camp fire
• Interaction continues along with dinner. We retire to bed soon to start early the following day.

DAY 2: Trek to Tadiandamol peak and back – 20 Kms – 10 hours

• Wake up to the sounds of the Malabar Whistling Thrush. Get ready for the trek and pack up. Check out of the homestay. 
• Have breakfast and pack lunch. We start our trek by 8:30 am.
• We trek up the trails of Tadiandamol and have lunch by noon.
• We aim to descend to the end point (i.e. the Palace) maximum by 6:30 pm.
• We start our journey back home.
• Drop off at Majestic by midnight (depending on what time we start).

Note: While we check out of the homestay on Day 2, we will keep all your bags ready for the jeep to transport it back to the bus at the parking lot. So do not carry valuable items that can neither be left unattended nor can be carried during the trek. The bags will be dropped to the bus by the home stay drivers. However, if we are taking the route from the Fort, we will be able to load the bag in the bus ourselves.

Trek Cost: Rs 3675 per person (Inclusive of all taxes)

Trek cost does not include 
• Bottled water and other beverages
• Extra food not mentioned in the itinerary and inclusions list
• Dinner on day 2
• Personal gear needed for the trek
• Any tip/gratuity to the support staff. If you are happy with the service, please tip them generously
• Any kind of insurance during the trek or transit
• Any cost which is not mentioned in the “inclusions” or personal in nature

Note
• 100% payment to confirm participation of the trek
• Smoking and consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited during the trek
• Regular Indian style nutritious vegetarian food will be served for breakfast, packed lunch, dinner along with coffee/tea.
• Though we always strive to provide our participants the best possible facilities at all times, there could be some challenges because of the geographical location and momentary situations. As the sole intention of the trek is to experiencing nature we believe this should not be a constraint. 
• Every participant is expected to possess minimum understanding of the functioning of a trek
• Participants need to be mentally and physically fit even for a beginner's level trek
• Every participant shall be equipped with the necessary gears required for a trek
• Any change/alteration in the schedule of the trek will be taken keeping in mind the interest of the entire group. The decision of the trek leader / camp manager will be final
• In case of any mishap, bad health condition or fitness condition, the trek leader / camp manager will have the sole discretion to decide if the participant can continue or will be sent back to base.
