Submarine In Space is an Instrumental Jazz Rock band from New Delhi, India. The name came about with an intent of keeping things abstract that made sense, not in a literal way but in an imaginative way. It started in 2015 when a few college friends from the Delhi University Music Society, who loved listening to Instrumental Music decided to make Instrumental Music. After the release of their debut album ‘Wavelengths’ the band has been featured on Rolling Stones as top 3 performers at Magnetic Fields 2018, shared stage with Kodaline, Opeth and Chet Faker at NH7 Weekender, 2019 and has also played alongside ‘Plini’.
Their second album, ‘F5’ is with reference to the Refresh function on the keyboard. Its function is to restart things and give them a second chance, a new beginning which is synonymous to the post covid world. The album was released in 2022 and was a live album with a successful crowdfunding campaign and a massive LIVE production. The band intends to work on collaborations now and bring a wave of fresh sounds to the indie scene.
