Spirited Talks is a half day event organized by Bhoomi Network across the country with the aim to inspire youth to engage and participate in local sustainable actions.
In 2017, Spirited Talks was held in Mumbai at the Don Bosco School, Matunga and saw close to 100 citizens interested in being part of local action movements take part in it. The theme of the event was Urban Sustainability and there were inspiring talks and sessions by Kavita Mukhi, Amrita Bhattacharjee, Meera Shah & Farah Khan.
In 2018, Spirited Talks expanded to two cities, Mumbai and Pune. The theme of the event was Alivelihoods and Green Careers. The two city event saw distinguished speakers like Ashish Kothari, Satayajit Hange and others speak about the possibilities that exist in creating nurturing livelihoods that help us and also the planet.
This year, the Chennai Edition of Spirited Talks will see distinguished speakers like Ananthoo of Tula and ReStore, G Gautama of Paathshaala Learning Centre and Rema Kumar of Bhoomi College share their perspectives on Education for Sustainability and inspire youth to engage and participate in sustainable local actions.
