Spatial Data Visualization and Analytics (Online)

This course allows participants to gain a solid understanding of how spatial data is modeled and open-source tools available to work with it. The participants learn practical skills to find datasets, analyze spatial patterns, and produce stunning visualizations.

This course is suited for

This is a 2-day live-online class that will cover the following topics

• A Practical Introduction to GIS (video)

Day 1: Spatial Data Visualization (Live Session, 4-hours)

• Introduction to QGIS
• Mapping Air Quality
• Mapping Census Data
• Mapping GPS tracks and trajectories
• Visualizing aerial and satellite data
• Viewing Point-Clouds and Aerial Imagery
• Viewing and Processing Raster

Day 2: Spatial Data Analysis (Live Session, 4-hours)

• Analyzing urban transport with anonymized taxi trips data 
• Analyzing metro rail accessibility
• Analyzing the distribution of green spaces
• Location intelligence: Overlay analysis

Logistics

• Participants will use their own laptop with QGIS 3.16 installed.
• The workshop will be conducted over Zoom. Meeting id and password will be shared by email 1 day before the event.

• 50% of the ticket amount will be refunded if canceled 15-days before the training.
• No refunds if you cancel within 15-days of the training date.
• In the unlikely event of the training getting canceled or moved to a different date, the participants will be provided a 100% refund.
