Scuba Diving At Netrani Island

Netrani Island also known as Pigeon Island is situated approximately 10 nautical miles (19 Km) from temple town of Murdeshwar. It provides excellent opportunities for Snorkeling and Scuba Diving. It is known fondly, as the 'heart of India's diving'.

Many varieties of coral, butterfly fish, trigger fish, parrot fish, eels and shrimps can be seen here. Divers also have reported seeing Orcas and Whale Sharks around the Island. This Island is an ideal destination for professional divers as well as first time divers.

Murdeshwar: This place houses the famous ancient Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is believed to be 5,000-year-old. There is another shrine of Jattiga that is seated on a horse atop a hillock.

DAY 1 – 30th April

• 06:00 hrs – Meet at Murdeshwar
• 06:30 hrs – Check in Hotel & Freshen up
• 08:00 hrs – Report at the Dive center
  
• 08:30 hrs – Leave for Netrani island by boat from Murdeshwar. It is an hour-long journey and you could see dolphins if you are lucky
• 09:30 hrs – Arrival at Netrani. Scuba Diving and Snorkeling activities would begin after a briefing and some in-water skills
• 10:00 hrs – Much awaited Scuba Diving & Snorkeling with PADI Certified Instructors in the Arabian Sea.
• 12:30 hrs – Packed Lunch and Snacks in the Boat
• 15:30 hrs – Start our return Journey to Murdeshwar
• 17:00 hrs – Return to the hotel and Freshen up
• 18:30 hrs – Gear up for some fun Group Activities.
• 22:00 hrs – Have delicious Dinner and retire to your rooms

DAY 2 - 1st May

• 07:00 hrs – Wake up call ,enjoy a beautiful morning by the beach
• 08:30 hrs – Freshen up and Enjoy your breakfast
• 10:00 hrs – Visit the Famous Shiva Temple, it is the world’s second tallest Shiva statue
• 12:30 hrs – Enjoy scrumptious lunch at our Hotel
• 13:30 hrs – Visit Murdeshwar Beach. You can chill by the beach or do some water sports like jet ski,speed boating etc here
• 17:00 hrs – Return to Hotel and Check Out
• 17:30 hrs –Say your goodbyes with a promise to meet again. This brings us to the end of our trip, Or rather just the beginning. Start your return Journey

Disclaimer:

• Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery during any activity.
• A planned activity or programs may be cancelled or revised depending on the weather or any other unavoidable circumstances

Travel Options:

• This is the best option
• You will reach in 12 hours from Mumbai to Murdeshwar by train.
• Take Matsyagandha Express which leaves LTT at 15:30 hrs and reaches Murdeshwar by 04:00 hrs
• And return journey also from Matsyagandha Express which leaves Murdeshwar at 17:40 hrs and reaches LTT by 06:35 hrs

Bus

• There are several buses from Mumbai to Murdeshwar average bus journey is 17 hours

Airways

• Nearest Airport is Mangalore. It is about 133 km from Mangaloreairport to Murdeshwar
• You can then take a cab from Mangalore to Murdeshwar
