Savandurga Trek- Wanderophile

Savandurga is a huge monolithic hill, in fact Asias largest monolithic hill located in Magadi taluk of Ramanagara district. It is around 60 km away from Bangalore & is a favourite trekking place of Bangaloreans. There are two trails on Savandurga which lead to the peak- Karigudda & Biligudda. The Karigudda trail is very steep & it is not advised to trek on this trail without professional guidance & required permits. The Biligudda trail is less challenging & hence used by all trekkers. You can find ruins of fort walls on the hill & also there is a Nandi mantapa at the peak which will mark the end of the trek. At the foothills are two popular temples- Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy temple & Savandi Veerabhadreshwara temple, to which people come from all over the state.

Itinerary

Board the bus, get to know fellow travellers & leave Bengaluru by around 6.00 AM

Reach the base of the hill

Start the trek

Reach the peak 

Explore the surroundings

Have lunch and take a short nap (ahh finally)

Descend to the base, 

Start back to Bengaluru

Stop to sip some chai

Reach Bengaluru by evening.​

Things to carry

Don't worry about packing too much or too little. Here's just everything that you need to carry- a rucksack, a water bottle, personal medicine, portable charger, socks, hiking shoes. And, a camera to capture the memories(optional).Don't forget to bring loads of enthusiasm :)

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• In case you are not able to join the trip you have booked & cancel your tickets at least 2 days before the day of the trek, you can always choose to join any of our future trips within 1 year of the trip date without taking a refund. No cancellations charges will be charged in this case.

• If cancellations are made within 7-15 days before the start date of the trip, 10% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

• If cancellations are made within 3-6 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

• If cancellations are made within 0-2 days before the start date of the trip, 45% of total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

• A minimum of 7 members required to confirm the event. In case of lesser than 7 members, full refund will be done or you can choose to join any of our future treks.

• In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such case we will try our best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.
