Rock Climbing at Badami - Adventure Junkie

About the Place:

Discover India’s hidden fiery red sandstone crags, a climber’s mecca for both local and international rock climbers.

Badami, formerly known as Vatapi, is located 150km North West of Hampi. It was the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas from 540 to 757 AD. It is famous for its rock cut structural temples. It is located in a ravine at the foot of a rugged, red sandstone outcrop that surrounds Agastya lake.

It is home to some of the best sport climbing in India. With routes ranging from 5b to 8b+, there is something in Badami for every rock climber, amateur to pro. This is great location for free sport climbing and bouldering. The cliffs have horizontal crack systems, similar to Gunks. There are over 150 bolted routes and multiple routes for free climbing. Pattadakal and Aihole are other near by tourist attractions.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 01: Get fresh up at our Camping Location. Assemble for briefing at 7AM. Have Authentic North Karnataka Breakfast, Introduction to Rock Climbing along with reading material. Climb, Sufficient and healthy Lunch before you get hungry. Climb again. Stay at Base Camp/Rooms. Dinner.

Day 02: Fresh up, Breakfast, Climb, Lunch, Visit Nearby places and return to Bangalore.

Cost Includes:

• 1 night stay at ‘Base‘Camp/Hotel
• 2 Breakfast, 2 Lunch, 1 Dinner & Snacks.
• Entry fees to Heritage sites.
• Local Climbing Expert and Climbing Gear
• Medical first aid support.

Exclusion: Travel (ready to arrange on request - actual expenses shared)

Things to Carry:

• Canvas shoes-rubber sole.
• Backpack
• Socks (2 pairs)
• Headlamp/Torch: Mandatory
• Toiletries (Sunscreen, moisturizer, light towel, lip balm, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste).
• Two water bottles: 1 liter each.
• Personal Medications if any
• Plastic covers/Water proof covers to keep wet cloths separately and extra when backpack is not 100% water proof.

Confirmation Policy:

• The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 12 hours of successful booking.
• In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.
• Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking and a full refund will be processed.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

1. No refund for the cancellation made 7 days before the date of departure.
2. 50% refund for the cancellation made 8 to 14 days before the date of departure.
3. 100% refund for the cancellations made 15 days before the date of departure.
4. Instead of cancellation of the ticket, you can transfer your ticket to someone else with earlier intimation to the organizers.
5. Cancellation and refund policy may differ for each event. If they differ, the same will be sent to an email ID used during registration.
6. Refunds take max of 5 working days. Please cooperate.
