Linocut 101 – Relief Printmaking

Introduction

● Printmaking is a centuries old practice that allows creators the ability to replicate an image using simple materials to create a set of unique, handmade artworks through the carving of a surface and the application of ink.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

● This workshop will introduce you to the techniques of Relief Printmaking using the Linocut method, resulting in a single colour and multicolour print through carving of a linoleum sheet.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET?

● Nothing (This is for participants. All the material is supplied by the artist)

WHO CAN ATTEND?

● Age Group: 15+
