Red Fort Delhi Stories- Kings, Queens, Begums and Concubines

Let me take you on an enchanting tour of the Red Fort Delhi. 

This UNESCO monument hides several stories behind its gates and inside its rooms. 

The purpose of this trip to Red Fort is to introduce you to the glorious heritage of the Mughals in particular and Delhi, in general. 

This 5-hour session comprises the following parts:

1. A 3-hour storytelling session about the Red Fort and its inhabitants: ( 9.30 AM- 12.30 PM)

a) The History of the Mughals (from 1527 AD to 1857, when the last Mughal was deposed by the British)

b)The daily schedule of the Mughal Emperor

c)Where did the Mughal Harem lay inside the Red Fort

d) What was the Mughal harem life, how did the ladies, and the Emperor live in this place?

e)How was the Mughal harem guarded?

f) The role of the eunuchs in the Mughal Harem?

g) The strange life and times of Qudasiya Begum and her eunuch lover

h) The interesting story of Jehangir and his two sons- Khurram and Khusrau

i)The fascinating story of Noorjehan, the stepmother of Shah Jehan and wife of Jahangir

 j) The secret love affairs of Jehanara, Roshanara, and Zaib-un-Nissa

k) Did Shahjehan violate the wife of Shaista Khan? If yes, what were the consequences?

2. Part two of this session includes a visit to the following places in Old Delhi ( 12.30-2.30 pm)

a) Spice Market, also known as Khari Baoli

b) Mirza Ghalib's House

c)Jama Masjid

d) The famous Sisganj Gurudwara in Chandni Chowk and its history

e) What ghastly history is the Sunehri Masjid in Chandni Chowk hiding?
