After having lived and worked in New Zealand for over a decade, Parul moved to Gurgaon about 10 years ago. Her foray into the world of ceramics has very humble beginnings. She spent her initial years learning basics of studio pottery and wheel throwing under the mentorship of Arun Mukhuty at the Sanskriti Delhi Blue Ceramic Centre, Sankriti Kendra, Anandgram. Since the last 4years she has been working independently from her own pottery studio called Pretty Potter.

As an artist, her works are driven towards trying to inspire a sense of awe and beauty in the viewer, constantly trying to bring about a certain fluidity and grace in the manipulating of her medium to achieve a visual and spiritual balance of art. Her inspiration for work has always been the freedom her medium allows her to create into reality, her perceptions, her feelings, her ideas and watch them come to life as they undergo their own trial by fire.

Parul was Awarded the Potter of the Year award at the All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society Annual Exhibition in 2013 and the Second place in 2017.
