Itinerary
Day 1 Kutch Trip Begins
Arrive Ahmedabad at 6am where we meet. Have a quick breakfast and travel to Bhuj. En route we visit Vande Mataram Memorial, which commemorates the struggles of Indian soldiers from the time of Revolt of 1857 to Indian Freedom Movement.
On arrival freshen up and leave for some local sightseeing in the city. In the evening visit Hamirsar Lake. We walk through the path that leads to a garden situated in the middle of the lake, called Rajendra Park. Stay for the night in Bhuj.
Day 2 Bhuj to Rann Of Kutch I Kala Dungor I Cultural Evening
Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. We leave early for Rann of Kutch, which happens to be one of the largest salt deserts of the world. Before visiting Rann we go and have an aerial view of the same from Kalo Dungor. Also called the Black Hill, Kalo Dungar is the highest point of Kutch offering marvelous views. Later reach Rann of Kutch & witness an amazing sunset. Here we will enjoy different activities, traditional performances and cultural exhibitions. By the late evening, we come back to the nearby village and check in to our camp. Spend the evening enjoying folk dance and typical meals at the camp. Stay near Rann of Kutch.
Day 3 Rann of Kutch I Dholavira Road Drive I Craft Villages I Bhuj shopping
We enjoy a breathtaking sunrise and spend some time at the Rann festival. Later we go on a scenic drive on the Dholavira Khavda road & come back. This will be one of the best sites for us to click photos. On our way back to Bhuj, we visit the traditional handicraft villages of Kutch like Dhordo, Hodka, Samrasur. While Dhordo is popular for chain stitch embroidery, Sumrasur village makes Ahir and Soof embroidery. You can see artisans at work in the villages and buy handicrafts here if possible. In the evening we come back to Bhuj & if time permits visit to Aaina Mahal, Prag Mahal or else we will head to some local market for shopping. Stay overnight.
Day 4 Bhuj to Ahmedabad
In the morning we start our journey back to Ahmedabad. On arrival if time permits, we will have fun shopping near Law Garden and take some time to taste some authentic local cuisines items near Manek Chowk. Later proceed to railway station to board overnight train to your hometown with a heart full of memories.
