Bikanervaala - Bikanervaala is an Indie-folk singer who bridges the timeless beauty of classic poetry with contemporary music. Drawing inspiration from literary giants he transforms poetry into evocative musical compositions that resonate with young audiences.
Having studied languages & literature in JNU he has always been captivated by the power of words. He weaves tapestry of classic poems, making certain his compositions honor the past while entertaining the young audience.
Why and how this show is specific to Depot48 - This collaboration between the flautist Raman Acharya and Indie folk singer-songwriter is a beautiful collision of classical tradition and modern storytelling. This fusion blends the meditative, breath-led nuances of the flute with the lyrical intimacy of folk music and bikanervaala's original compositions based on classic hindi/ urdu poetry. We have found a middle ground where music meets poetry and We look forward to create a dialogue that transcends language and genre.
