Racing Shivalik VI

Chandigarh Cycling Club welcomes you to Racing Shivalik 6th edition . It's a race of 36 kms on tarmac with uphill as well downhill road. Its open to both MTB and road category. Entry fees is Rs 500/-.

Amateur ride of 11 km from PGI to Country side cafe. All will be flagged off together.

Flag off - 0545 hrs

Race Distance 36 kms.

Please prepare for race. Ride safe on roads. Above 14 are eligible for race. 8-14 age category can only ride along with their parents in amateur category. Under 18 must be accompanied by parents or come with a consent letter with xerox copy of parents ID and phone number, stating that parents allowed their wards to participate in event.

Route will be explained to all on the spot too on day of race. 

A day prior all participants to come at Firefox sector 22 to pick their Bibs. Between 1400 to 1600 hrs.

All participants in race must wear helmet. You can wear Turban too.

Route will not be marked as it is simple. Route is direct and no marking is required and marking will not be done. At Country side cafe, you ll be received by race officials. 

There will be ambulance standby. We ll carry first aid kits too. Kindly do not ride unsafe by holding on to motor bike or tractor or truck. Do not cheat. Ride safe. Anyone found cheating will be disqualified straight away. 

If you do not wish to race, you can simply ride to country side cafe on kurali Baddi road. You can come on any cycle to race/ride. 

Entry fees for race and ride is rs 500/-.

There are 15 medals to be won. Top three will get medals in both Men and women category in Road and MTB category.

Prize will be distributed according to participants strength. Minimum 5 cyclists in each category should be there to open cash prize window.

Top three will get medals in amateur ride. Also best dressed cycling attire will get cash prizes too.

Sumptuous breakfast will be served post race.

WAIVER & RELEASE FROM LIABILITY

1. I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in this event and have not been advised against participating by a qualified medical person. In consideration of my registration and permitting me to participate in this event, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin successors and assigns as follows.

2. I agree to give all bike riders on the road the right of way and conduct myself in a safe manner. I acknowledge that the use of a hard-shell riding helmet is required.

3. I agree it is my sole responsibility to be familiar with the course for this event. I understand and agree to that situations may arise during the events that may be beyond the immediate control of event officials or organizers. I agree to Indemnify and Hold Harmless the entities or persons from Chandigarh Cycling Club, its constituents, and its assigned associates, from any and all claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of my actions during this event.

4. I understand that only basic first aid will be available to participants on the event course. Should I require additional medical attention, I hereby consent to receive such medical treatment which may be deemed advisable during my event and understand that I am solely responsible for all costs and consequences relating to medical administration, transportation and evacuation.

 5. I agree that my entrance fee is free and any sponsor or pledge money I collect is non refundable. I understand the event could be cancelled due to weather or other causes and rescheduled at the discretion of the event organizers. I accept that the course may be changed due to circumstances beyond the event organizers' control.

6. I will additionally permit free use of my name and pictures in media broadcasts, print and television, etc. This Waiver and release of liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. I hereby certify that I have read this document and understand its content.

 7. Waive, Release and Forever Discharge Chandigarh Cycling Club , its constituents, and its assigned associates from any and all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft or any actions of any kind which may hereafter accrue to me from this event:

 8. I fully acknowledge that cycling is a hazardous activity and that this event carries with it the potential for death, serious injury and property damage and property loss. I hereby assume all the risks of participating in this event regardless of their cause.
