Platinum Jubilee Celebration of IIT System in India

IIT Kharagpur was established in 1951. It was founded on August 18, 1951, making it the first of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) to be established in India. From one IIT at 1951 to 23 IITs at 2025, it was a journey of creating legacy and a world famous IIT Brand.

Technology Alumni Association, Bangalore (TAAB) is the registered association of all the alumni of IIT Kharagpur based on Bangalore.

IIT Alumni Centre (IIT ACB) at Bengaluru was established at Bommasandra jointly by all the 23 IITs and provides an opportunity for all the alumni of all the IITs ( based in Bangalore) to network, Collaborate and professional engagements.

TAAB and IIT ACB is jointly hosting Prof Suman Chakraborty, Director of IIT Kharagpur on 21st Dec at the Alumni Centre Bengaluru to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee Celebration of IIT system in India.

Program Schedule :

11AM to 11.30 AM : Registration, Coffee / Tea / Cookies & Networking

11.30 AM to 11.50 AM : Welcome Address & Presentation on IITACB (TATA Hall)

11.50 AM to 1.00 PM : Dr. Suman Chakravarthy IIT KGP Director’s Platinum Jubilee Presentation

1.00 PM onwards lunch
