This trek will take you to Ancient History of Pitalkhora Caves which date back to 2nd Century. This Buddhist cave complex is older than Ajanta Caves. Beautiful waterfall and lush green surrounding make this area scenic.

After exploring caves we will trek down to Patnadevi Temple through reserve forest of Autrum Gautala Sanctury. The jungle route is well trodden and passes through forest.

Patnadevi is popular for Ancient Temple of Goddess Chandika Devi. After knowing short history of the place we will start our return journey to Pitalkhora Caves. The return trek is little exhausting but manageable for participants of all age groups.

Itinerary

Day 1

04:30 AM Start Journey from Panchavati Hotel near Baba Petrol Pump.

8.00 AM: Reach Base Village 

8:30 AM  Trek begins Pitalkhora

12:00 PM Reach Patna Devi

1:00 PM Grab a lunch on time and back down at base village

3:00 PM  Start our return journey .

6:00 PM Reach Home with Loads of Memories

(01 - 02 hrs delay is possible depending on the speed of trekkers, traffic on the road & other unavoidable circumstances.. so keep that buffer)

• Please wear full pants and full sleeves t-shirts to protect from tanning, thorns, insects during the trek

• Extra pair of clothes
• 2/3 liters of water (Mandatory)
• Any personal medicines
• Good grip trekking shoes

Advisory

• There is no freshen up/ washroom facility at the top. The toilet is in the base village.
• Avoid carrying heavyweight for the trek.
• Do not carry valuables during the trek.
• Avoid wearing chappals or slippers during the Jungle trek.
• Carry camera and binocular at personal risk.
• Pay heed and attention to the trek guides and instructors.
• Avoid perfume
• Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
• Carry Personal Medicines if any.
