Running away from home with a politician at the age of 16 is only the start of the adventures of this rebel woman. Influenced deeply by her maternal grandfather (an Oriya Artist and art historian who worked closely with Intach in Odisha) the indigenous and the fringe (in art and spirituality) always held her curiosity. Having lived in and experienced the freak & fringe worlds of Puri in Orissa, Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu, Pulga and Old Manali in Himachal, she choose to settle down in Goa, to set up base camp and raise her children. Finding in Goa, a healthy balance of community and personal space afforded, to be able to live in an ethos of cultural and spiritual freedom - a place that truly felt secular.
