Utsavi Jha is a singer, songwriter, and actor based in Mumbai who composes, writes, and sings Hindi, English and Gujarati songs. In a short span of releasing music, Utsavi has emerged as one of the most exciting voices in the Indian independent music scene. Her versatility is evident not only in the wide range of genres she explores—from jazz-pop to pop-rock, electro-pop to bossa nova, ballads to blues-rock—but also in her ability to deeply connect with listeners through personal storytelling. She made her acting and playback singing debut with a pivotal role in the National Award-winning movie Gulmohar. She stands out as a multi-faceted artist, whether she’s composing and writing for artists like Shilpa Rao, crafting her own immersive musical experiences or acting.
Her live performances—whether solo, as a trio or with a band—are equally captivating, blending evocative storytelling behind her songs with a dynamic stage presence and rich sound that have earned appreciation from audiences at prestigious venues like NMACC, NH7 Weekender, antiSOCIAL, and more.
Her dedication and attention to every detail—have helped her build an entire world around her music. This is likely why songs like Khata, Saanjh, Tum Jaise Ho, and Piya have achieved millions of streams and established a loyal listener base that resonates deeply with her lyrics and sound. Electro-pop tracks like Piya introduced a unique sonic palette, while Khata, from her debut EP Khata (Oct 2024), charted on Spotify’s Viral Chart in Dubai. She has also been recognized as a Spotify RADAR India Artist (May 2023) and one of Amazon Music's “Breakthrough Artists” (2024).
Offstage, Utsavi’s love for movies, reading, and solo travel reflects her introspective nature, as she continually seeks new ways to evolve both personally and artistically. With unwavering consistency, a fresh sound, and a strong emotional connection to her listeners, she remains focused on sharing her stories with as many people as possible.
With this being my first time in Delhi, I wanted to perform at Depot 48 as it is a very artist-friendly venue that emphasises on artist discovery. Thus making it the best venue for independent artists. My music is also very storytelling-driven and so Depot 48 will help me keep it very intimate. I’m very excited to bring my music to Delhi and Depot 48 and share my music and find more listeners.
