SCIENTIFIC GUIDELINES – NATIONAL DENTAL SUMMIT 2023


GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION:

  • Posters can be done by a maximum of two students per team.
  • Posters should be done only in printed format
  • Posters should be brought as printed flexes with a dimension of 2x3 feet (portrait).
  • Abstracts are to be submitted to the id: abstract.pdch@gmail.com, on or before 4th April 2023.
  • The presenters will be sent a mail regarding the acknowledgement, time, date and hall details.
  • The presenters should report to the hall 30 minutes before the given time slot.
  • The presenters will be given 6 minutes for presentation (4 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for discussion)


GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATION:

  • Only one student is allowed per presentation.
  • The presentation should be done in .ppt or .pptx format in MS 2007 or a higher version with a 4:3 ratio.
  • Presentations in jpeg or .pdf formats are not allowed.
  • Presentations could be original research or review.
  • Abstracts are to be submitted to the id: abstract.pdch@gmail.com, on or before 4th April 2023.
  • The presenters will be sent a mail regarding the acknowledgement, time, date and hall details.
  • The presenters should report to the hall 30 minutes before the given time slot and submit their presentations to the hall coordinator.
  • The presenters will be given 10 minutes (8 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for discussion)
  • The decisions of the scientific committee are the final, regarding the scrutiny of paper or poster.

GUIDELINES FOR TABLE CLINIC PRESENTATION:

  • A maximum of four participants are allowed per team.
  • The presenters will be given 8 minutes (6 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for discussion)

                                           GENERAL RULES FOR THE PARTICIPANTS  


                                             

1. THE QUIZ COMPRISES OF MULTIPLE TEAMS FROM DIFFERENT COLLEGES

2. ONLY TWO TEAMS PER COLLEGE ARE ALLOWED.

3. EACH TEAM SHOULD BE COMPRISED OF A MAXIMUM 5 STUDENTS

4. THE PARTICIPANTS FROM EACH TEAM FOR THE QUIZ CAN BE UNDERGRADUATE  OR POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS OR A COMBINATION OF BOTH.


                                                                   QUIZ RULES


1. THE CONTENT FOR THE QUIZ WILL BE A GENERAL DENTISTRY

2. QUIZ COMPRISES OF 3 ROUNDS ( PRELIMINARY, SECOND, AND FINAL ROUND )

3. SINGLE VOLUNTEER FROM EACH TEAM SHOULD ANSWER THE QUESTION, AND IN CASE OF PROMPTING OR A GROUP ANSWER THE TEAM WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

4. THE  PRELIMINARY ROUND COMPRISES OF 20 QUESTIONS, WHICH CARRY 10 MARKS EACH. (15 SEC TO ANSWER )

5. THE SECOND ROUND COMPRISES OF 10 QUESTIONS, WHICH CARRY 10 MARKS EACH. (15 SEC TO ANSWER )

6. THE FINAL ROUND IS A RAPID-FIRE ROUND,  WHICH COMPRISES OF 10 QUESTIONS WHICH CARRIES 10 MARK EACH ( 5 SEC TO ANSWER) IN CASE OF A TIE – ANOTHER RAPID-FIRE ROUND AMONG THE TIE GROUPS WILL BE CONDUCTED 

7. ONCE THE ALLOCATED TIME TO ANSWER THE QUESTION LAPSES  IT  WILL BE PASSED TO THE NEXT TEAM.

8. THE PASSED QUESTION CARRIES 5 MARKS EACH

9. TYPE OF QUESTIONS WILL BE  A COMBINATION OF  AUDIO-VISUAL & MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION
