Overview:
According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, falls are a leading cause of injury hospitalisations 2022-23 and leading cause of deaths 2021-22. The estimated cost to the health system annually is $4.7 billion, however, the impact of a fall is more than potential or actual injury. In this webinar we will look at why people fall, the risk factors of not getting up in a timely manner and the impacts of post fall syndrome on ongoing rehabilitation and occupational performance.
