The climate of Matheran is very cool. The most unforgettable things about Matheran are deep forest and the waterfalls nearby, especially in rainy season. The beauty of the hill station gets doubled in monsoon. Matheran is truly 'The Best Hill Station in Maharashtra.

Matheran is most splendid hill station in Maharashtra; it covers an area of 8 square kilometers in Sahyadris. This lovely spot was discovered in 1850 by Hugh Poyntz Malet, the collector of Thane district. Garbett point is located on South-west side of Matheran with grand view of the plateau.

The tentative itinerary for the Trek is as given below:

We will be starting with the CST - Karjat Fast Local (Time table given below)

Meeting point: Bhivpuri Station at 8.00 am

CST - 06:10 am

Byculla - 06:18 am

Dadar - 06:24 am

Kurla - 06:31 am

Ghatkopar - 6:35 am

Thane - 6:50 am

Dombivali - 7:02 am

Kalyan - 7:10 am

Bhivpuri -07:51 am

Members are requested to take return ticket till Bhivpuri by their own. Everybody will board the same local and we meet in the train itself

Breakfast at Bhivpuri.

Start trek at around 8:30 am.

Reach Garbett Plateau by 1:30 pm

Have Lunch @ Garbett Plateau

Leave for Matheran by 2.30pm

Reach Matheran by 4:30 pm and proceed towards Dasturi Naka.

Take Taxi Till Neral Station

Reach Neral Station by 6pm.

Evening Refreshment @ Neral.

Catch the train from Neral.

Reach Dadar by 9.30pm - 10pm

Things to carry:

Lunch For the Day.

Shoes either trekking or sports ( Good firm Sole ),No floaters/Slippers on track

Water – 2 liters

Windcheaters (Avoid Umbrellas)

Zip Lock Plastics to keep wallet , Cash, Mobile etc

Cap, Camera (Optional) etc

Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.

Medicine those that you require usually.

A haversack to put in all the things to be carried.(Please do not carry sling bags or Jholas.)

Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.

Payment details

The Cost of theTrek is : Rs 500/- per head Which includes - Morning / Evening Tea & Breakfast, Transportation from Matheran to Neral Station & Expertise Charges

Limited seats, Registrations on First Come First Serve Basis.

**Cancelation and Refund applicable on the entire trek cost :

1. If cancelation done prior to 10 days of the trek 75% of the total cost will be refunded.

2. If cancelation done prior to 5 days of the trek 50% will be refunded.

3. If cancelation done after that, no refund will be provided.

SMOKING AND DRINKING STRICTLY PROHIBITED DURING THE TREK (Offenders will be expelled from the program on the spot)
