Mask Adventures: One day trek to RAIGAD - Capital of Maratha Kingdom

about the Fort:

Raigad is a hill fortress situated near Mahad, Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. The Maratha king Shivaji Maharaja made the fort his capital in 1674 when he was crowned King of a Maratha Kingdom. The fort, which rises 820 metres (2,700 ft) above sea level, is located in the Sahyadri mountain range. There are approximately 1500 steps leading to the fort, one can reach by a ropeway to reach the top of the fort. It’s a picturesque place for the photographers.

Tentative Itinerary :

1100pm : Leave from Mumbai (Saturday Night)

0530am : Reach base, freshen up and BF

0700am : Start trek (Participants can opt for Rope way, charges not included in event cost)

0900am : Reach on the Top and explore all the points of the beautiful Fort & have Lunch

0200pm : Start descending

0400pm : Reach base, freshen up and have tea

0500pm : Start for Mumbai

1100pm : Tentative arrival time in Mumbai

Things to carry:

Water (at least 2L per person)

Good trekking shoes

Extra clothes

Torch with extra Battery

Personal medications if any

Dry snacks and ready to eat food

Tour Cost: Rs.1100/- per person.

Rope way charges: Approx. Rs.300 return & 150/- one side (depending on availability)
