With the sky being full of colour, everyone dressed up with boxes full of Til Gud in their hands, there is a reason why Makar Sankranti is one of the most-awaited festivals of the year. Seeing all those kites in the sky, one can’t resist wanting to fly one along with their friends and loved ones in an enthralling kite-flying contest. This year, popular kids’ entertainment channel Sony YAY! is seeing to it that its young fans celebrate Makar Sankranti in a safe and eco-friendly manner.
Adding to the excitement of the festival, Sony YAY! will conduct a fun-filled virtual DIY kite-making workshop, hosted by Edwina Lobo, owner of The Springboard and Co-founder & Team Psychologist of The Oranje Academy. Making this festival a new learning experience for kids, Sony YAY! and NGO Vanashakti will come together and teach all the young Honey Bunny fans about the harmful effects using a glass-coated string and teach them how to celebrate it the safe way.
So, get ready to see your kids revel in yet another exciting afternoon with Sony YAY!
