Love And Censorship; Once upon A Curfew Book Launch

In 1975, the then prime minister of our country Indira Gandhi imposed a state of Emergency: press censorship, arrests without trials, illegal demolitions and forced sterlizations are some of the commonly known stories from the time. Once upon a Curfew, published by Penguin Random House India, is a romance set during the Emergency, evoking a nostalgia of Rajesh Khanna movies and this politically turbulent period.
This is a book discussion on the period of the Emergency, and how a romance was based in the time period- with some sprinkling of 70s Bollywood. Attendance is free, and tea and snacks will be served at the end. Please register.
Srishti Chaudhary is a writer based in Delhi, and previously was an editor with Juggernaut Books. Her book was recently launched in Germany and the UK, and she loves meeting readers and aspiring writers.
