Kumaraparvatha Trek (from KUKKE) - MYHIKES

Overview

Kumaraparvatha :: Pushpagiri or Kumara Parvatha, at 1,712 metres, is the highest peak in Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary in the Western Ghats of Karnataka.

Kumara parvatha is second highest peak in Coorg district (Karnataka state) after Tadiandamol peak. Trekking starting point is Kukke Subramanya. Famous Kukke Subramanya temple is located in Subramanya village. The trail has most stunning escapes of nature enclosed by flora and fauna on either side.

ITINERARY::

DAY 0:from Hyderabad

  journey to Kukke.

DAY 1: Early morning freshen up and a light breakfast, start the trek 6.30 AM TREK STARTING POINT (KUKKE TEMPLE) TO BATTARA MANE (10.30 AM) START FROM BATTARA MANE (11.30 AM)

EXPLORE PEAK and descent back with a spectacular sunset, via bhattaramane for the dinner and retire for the day.

DAY 2:

PLAN 1: Wake up 4.30 am desend back to kukke subramanya and have breakfast and reach 6pm

PLAN 2: Wake up 5.30am, have breakfast @bhat house and reach Hyderabad 9.00 pm.

PLAN 1 & 2 DEPENDS ON DECISION OF MAJORITY OF PARTICIPANTS.

ACCOMMODATION: TENTED WITH SLEEPING BAGS PROVIDED.

COST INCLUDES:: Transportation non AC vehicle, forest dept. charges, Basic 1st aid, Coordinator charges, 2 Breakfast, lunch & dinner, (veg food only)

Things to carry : Torch, personal medications, sunscreen, Hat, 2 litres of water. Extra pair of socks and clothes. Backpack, shoes, Energy Chocolates/Snacks. ID proof.

#Campfire is prohibited as its an Eco sensitive area.

#Alcohol is strictly prohibited

*INDIVIDUAL SLEEPING BAGS WILL BE PROVIDED AND TENTED ACCOMMODATION, PARTICIPANTS NEED TO CARRY ON THEIR OWN FOR 12KMS (TO & FRO)

*COST OF TENTS/SLEEPING BAGS HAS TO BE PAID IF LOST.

Cost excludes: Final day lunch & any personal expenses
