Event Information

Gear Up! The best view comes after the hardest climb. This 22 km trek is a must to do trek if you are in Karnataka and is often called Trekkers paradise.
Kudremukh is a small village situated at a separation of 96 km from the district of Chikmagalur and concerning 335 km from Bangalore. Renowned for the Kudremukh National Park, Kudremukh is the largest reserve of tropical wet evergreen timberland in Karnataka and the birthplace of three crucial rivers Bhadra, Netravati and Tunga. The locale is home to langurs, macaques, barking deer, Malabar giant squirrels and chitals, Leopards, tigers, jackals, and wild dogs.
Kudremukh in Kannada is 'horse-confront' which resembles its shape which alludes to a specific pleasant perspective of a side of the mountain that appears to be indistinguishable to horse confront. There are flooding streams that need to be crossed, dark woodlands with crisp brown leaves fallen underneath, bamboo bushes tall enough to touch the sky, rolling green hills and finally, the pinnacle itself, where blustery winds can blow you off your feet while the scenery below blows your mind.
It is an ideal place for trekking and an overnight journey from Bangalore makes it the most convenient destination for weekend getaways.

Although we try our best to gain permission, sometimes it happens that we do not get permission from the forest department. The decision of acceptance and rejection from DF (Department of Forest) happens at the start point check post of the trek based on the count. If in case we do not reach the check post in time to gain permission, Safarnama would arrange another beautiful trek like Kurinjal or Bavikonda from the same region. We do not wish to change our plan at any cost but considering DF we do not own any control over the national park region.
