Join us for an evening celebrating adventure from some of the most spectacular places on earth, brought to you by the world’s biggest adventure festival Kendal Mountain Festival.

A chance to watch a selection of award-winning films from high altitude adventure to cinematically beautiful tales showcasing wilderness and adventure travel from across the globe. The films will be introduced on-screen by a member of the Kendal Mountain Presenting team. This not-to-be-missed event is guaranteed to ignite your desire for adventure!

• Dream Mountain – 18’

(‘Best Mountain Film’ at London Mountain Film Festival)

International mountain guide Pasang reflects on her personal highs and lows and rediscovers for herself just how much the mountains have meant to her. This incredible film, Dream Mountain has now amassed 12 laurels worldwide from top-tier film festivals

• Mbogi Amani – 16’
  

The film that describes the hopes and dreams of cyclists in East Africa.

• If you give a beach a bottle – 5’

A film about the dangers of ocean plastic.

• Everest – By Those Who Were There 1921, 1922, 1924 – 36’

One hundred years on from the first Everest expedition, the film explores the history of the expeditions in 1921, 1922 and 1924. The film brings the past into the present using John Noel's original film and many images from the Alpine Club Collection.

• Elevated – 15’

(Winner of 2022 ‘Best Climbing’ Award)

Elevated is a non-verbal film sharing Sonya Wilson's experience as a Deaf woman and outdoor advocate working to bridge the gap between the Deaf community and the outdoor industry, one crag at a time.

• Imagine – 11’

A film about Kieren D’Souza run up and down Mt. Friendship - a 5289m high Himalayan peak, in a record 11 hours and 45 minutes. Hoping to set a snowball in motion, getting more Indians to the mountains and inspiring them to experience mountains differently.

• The Water that Holds Me – 2’

(Winner of 2022 ‘Best Creative Award)

Based on the stories of women who dip, dive and swim in rivers, lakes and seas. The film celebrates the power of water to wash away pain and fear and restore and revive our relationships with the natural world and each other.

• Enchainment – 30’

A quest to enchain New Zealand’s 24 highest mountains above 3000 metres in a continuous 31-day push. A trans-alpine journey, from west coast jungle to high-alpine summits, traversing some of New Zealand’s most dramatic landscapes. But with the clock ticking down, fatigue mounting and storms arriving, would they be able to complete the project before their time, weather & luck ran out?

• The Farmer – 4’

The Farmer, a local legend in the Wasatch Mountains, spends his winters harvesting one of the most precious crops on earth: powder. This film explores how his passion for efficiency and sustainability were utilized to maximize a lifetime of skiing.
