Short itinerary
Day 1:- Dehradun to Sankri 8 hours Drive
Start the journey around 6 am from Dehradun Railway Station to Sankri and it will take 8 hours. Overnight stay at Sankri
Day 2: Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab 4 km (9100 Feet)
The trail passes through dense pine forests, maple trees, few streams, and finally, opens out to beautiful meadows.
Overnight stay in tents
Day 3: Juda-ka-Talab to Kedarkantha Base 2.5 kms (11200 Feet)
Most of today’s trail is on a ridge, under oak trees
You will also pass through some meadows where you can spot shepherd log huts
Peaks:- Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag, and Ranglana stand among the others
Overnight Stay in Tents
Day 4: Kedarkantha base to Kedarkantha peak (12500 Feet) descend to Hargaon camp (8,900 Feet)
Spend some time at the summit and descend back to the base camp by noon for lunch
Post lunch, descend down to Hargaon
Reach Hargaon by evening

Day 5: Hargaon camp to Sankri (6400 Feet)
Today we head down to Sankri. It takes about 2-3 hours to finish this 4 km trek route of the day. For the rest of the day, you can explore the village of Sankri, which is known to be the heart of the Har Ki Dun valley, along with other villages like Gangad and Osla. Sankri is a typical “Pahari” village, with unbeatable hospitality offered by the locals. It is also the last road head to the Govind Ballabh Pant Wildlife Sanctuary
Day 6: Sankri to Dehradun 8 hours rive
Here it is time to say good bye with beautiful memory of the trek.
Note: On Day 6, you’ll reach Dehradun between 6 pm and 7 pm. You can book your travel any time after 9pm.
